Whatever you do don't buy this from amazon. Kudos to Amazon for making it right. Just installed this today on a pc I built for my son. After typing in the COA to activate Windows, it said my copy was not valid.

This comes in a sealed envelope with the install DVD and the activation code that you scratch off. The code worked as promised. The easy way to install Windows 10 on a new PC build: 1. Very disappointing. The Free windows update that I paid over I had a super machine that was totally upgrade-able. I tried twice to install a 'Clean Install" but it stopped twice during the process. I said the machine was fine until I put your rotten Win 10 disk in my PC. I was told by their tech specialist that my MOBO blew up! I said what! How can that be!? The machine ran like a fine Swiss watch on Win 7 pro.. I was told that the machine must now go out for further Diagnosis on hardware and how much it is going to cost me!!!! So far and change for Win 10 O. I told the Microsoft Rep that your OS 10 is destroying perfectly good machines.

I will follow up with this store and my comment about my Microsoft experience when they call me with the results. I told them I have 2 more Win 7 pro machines that must be upgraded but how can I trust Microsoft!!?? After over 20 yrs of windows and at least 6 different O. Top reviews from other countries. The cheap price is why I bought it. So if the price goes lower than the regular Windows 10 Home license I recommend this option instead for new system builders. Windows 10 Home System Builder? Seems like a great option. It is for fresh builds only, and is the same version of Windows that computer manufacturers use to install to prebuilt laptops, desktops etc. Also the System Builder license will be locked to your motherboard meaning it cannot be transferred from one system to another.
Unless you contact Microsoft and they make an exception for you. It also is not eligible for free upgrades to the latest versions of Windows, you still get Windows 10 updates though. So for people building their own PC this option is the better choice. You just will need to have a CD reader handy as this is sold by disc only. Install is very easy, and if you are having trouble head to YouTube, there are many easy and helpful tutorial videos available on there.
I decided to base this review on the System Builder install instead of the overall Windows 10 Home experience, which for the most part I really like anyways. But for a cheaper option for getting Windows 10 Home I highly recommend this product. It was an already used copy, the code had already been taken.
